Mali Smith
Operations Director
Mali Smith represents corporate clients, trade associations, and nonprofit organizations before Congress, federal agencies, and regulatory bodies. As a Director at FedHall, she advises clients on policy and advocacy strategy across a range of issues, including domestic medical manufacturing, financial services, insurance, and digital asset regulation. Smith helps clients navigate complex legislative and regulatory landscapes through direct advocacy, coalition building, and strategic engagement.
Prior to joining FedHall, Smith served as Government Relations and Communications Manager at Goldstein Policy Solutions. During her tenure, she contributed to the firm’s full client portfolio, with a particular leadership role in advancing initiatives related to domestic PPE production and federal supply chain resilience. In that capacity, she led advocacy efforts for the American Medical Manufacturers Association, spearheading educational campaigns on Capitol Hill, coordinating responses to proposed regulations, and securing key policy wins to bolster U.S. manufacturing of critical medical supplies and strengthen long-term supply chain stability.
Smith also worked as a contributor to the Blockchain Foundation, where she co-authored white papers focused on youth financial literacy and led efforts to educate lawmakers and stakeholders on integrating modern digital technologies within smaller financial institutions.
She began her career in government relations with the American Heart Association in Salt Lake City, where she helped craft state and local policy campaigns and published advocacy content for the Association’s national volunteer network. Smith holds a B.S. in Public Health with a minor in Communications from Brigham Young University, where she graduated with honors.
